Who is Voxtale for?
Adults 18 and over, buying for themselves or their families. Accounts are for adults; adults may let their own children listen.
Which stories can I paste?
Text you wrote, stories in the public domain, or text you have permission to use for your own listening. You confirm this each time you create a story. Please do not enter personal information about children.
How many credits will my story use?
One credit per 1,500 characters in Narrated style, two in Drama and three in Cinematic. The app shows the exact number before you create. If a story fails to generate, the credits are returned automatically.
Do credits expire?
No. Unused credits stay in your account while it is open. See the terms.
What happens to my story text?
It is sent to our AI providers (Google Gemini, xAI and ElevenLabs, with Together AI as a backup) only to write and perform your audio, and we delete it from our servers when your audio is finished. The audio is saved on your device. See the privacy policy.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from Account in the app; you keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
What about refunds?
See our refund policy. In short: 14 days for unused credits on a first purchase.
Is the audio made by people?
No. All voices and sounds are AI-generated, and we label them as such.
