Voxtale respects copyright. Users make audio only from text they paste, and we ask them to confirm they wrote it, that it is in the public domain, or that they have permission to use it. Finished audio is saved on the user’s device, and temporary copies are kept on our server for up to 30 days; we do not publish it.

Report an infringement

If you believe your work is being used without permission through Voxtale, send a notice to our designated agent:

Your notice should include:

• Your name, address, email and phone number, and a physical or electronic signature.
• A description of the copyrighted work you claim is infringed.
• Identification of the material you claim is infringing, and information reasonably sufficient for us to locate it (for example the account or story involved).
• A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law.
• A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner.

Counter-notice

If you think we removed or blocked something by mistake, email the same address with your contact details, a description of the material, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake, your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for the district where you live (or, if you live outside the United States, any judicial district where we may be found), and your agreement to accept service of process from the person who sent the notice. We may restore material 10 to 14 business days after a valid counter-notice unless the complainant files a court action.

Repeat infringers

We will suspend accounts of users who are repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
